As part of Minnesota State policy, PTCC assesses new incoming students’ academic readiness for credit-bearing college curriculum to assure students have the academic content knowledge to have a high likelihood of success in our courses. Students who are admitted to PTCC must demonstrate their academic readiness to enroll in courses that require college-level reading, writing, and/or math skills. Students can demonstrate their academic readiness based on their performance on a variety of assessments.
Students should submit an official copy of any of the following assessment to determine their eligibility to enroll into college-level courses at Pine Technical and Community College to the PTCC Admission office. Scores are valid for 5 years.
Accuplacer Assessment will be used if the above scores do not meet the college level benchmarks to demonstrate academic readiness to enroll in college-level courses.
