This Emergency Medical Responder course meets the curriculum guidelines set forth by the U.S. DOT, NHTSA, and the Minnesota State EMS Regulatory Board. The course reflects the content of the EMR National Standard Curriculum. The goal is to provide students with the core knowledge, skills, and attitudes to function in the capacity of an Emergency Medical Responder.
The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course prepares individuals for employment in a variety of pre-hospital, industrial and first responder settings. The successful completion of an approved First Responder course is a pre-requisite to pursuing training as a Fire Fighter and many Law Enforcement programs.
