This hands-on program is for firearm owners and enthusiasts who wants to learn more about the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of commonly owned firearms. The classwork focuses on increasing personal knowledge and confidence rather than preparation for future employment.

  • 8 weeks long, credit based, hybrid (in-person and online)

GSTP1240 Semiautomatic Design & Theory

  • Thursdays, 5-9:50 pm
    Saturdays (1/14/23 & 2/11/23) 8 am-4 pm
    1/11/23-3/2/23 

GSTP1250 Handgun Design & Theory

  • Thursdays, 5-9:50 pm
    Saturdays (3/18/23 & 4/22/23) 8 am-4 pm
    3/16/23-5/11/23 

*GSTP2285 Pistolsmithing

  • Thursdays, 5-9:50 pm
    Saturdays (6/10/23 & 7/15/23) 8 am-4 pm
    5/23/23-7/25/23 

*GSTP2233 Firearm Finishes

  • Thursdays, 5-9:50 pm
    Saturdays (6/3/23, 7/8/23 & 8/5/23) 8 am–4 pm
    5/8/23-8/17/23

*Successful completion of one of the following classes required for registration:
GSTP1202, GSTP1204, GSTP1240, GSTP1250

Students must successfully complete a background check prior to the beginning of class.

This program is not eligible for financial aid.
