Transfer Learning Community (TLC)

Pine Technical and Community College’s (PTCC) TLC is an exciting program designed for first-year Associate of Arts students, helping them graduate on-time and connect with a network and community of peers.  The TLC provides both the support and structure to give students a strong start on their way to complete a transfer degree.   

Key Components and advantages of the PTCC TLC 

  1. Predictable Schedule: courses Monday – Thursday 9am thru 3pm (No Fridays!) 

  1. Simplified 16 credit registration 

  1. Student supports to aid in transitioning from a high school to college student 

  1. A learning community of peers, where all students will have a similar schedule 

PTCC TLC may be a good fit if:  

  1. You want a strong support network to help you make the transition from high school to college. 

  1. You’re planning on completing your Associate of Arts Degree, but you are undecided about your overall academic goals or where you want to transfer to after graduating from PTCC.   

  1. You’re college ready in English and Math but didn’t take a great deal of PSEO or College in the School Credits while in high school.  

  1. You’re planning on attending full-time.
