Professional Development and Training

Child Care Aware professional development and training opportunities seek to positively impact the experiences of children in all child care settings by expanding the knowledge, skills, attitudes and beliefs of those who care for them.

Child Care Aware professional development and training will keep you and your program thriving. From the big-picture goals of preparing children for school and maintaining your business, to the day-to-day challenges of keeping children engaged and happy, we're here to help with online, face-to-face and Credential training.

There are a variety of different training models available including Live Online Training with Instructors, Web-based Instructor Led, Self paced, and In-Person training. Each of those is described below:

Northeast District Live Online Training

Child Care Aware of Minnesota Northeast offers convenient Live Online training via Zoom for Pre-Service and In-Service classes. A quick reference guide of the current semester's classes are listed below, but please refer to Develop for the most accurate and up to date information.

Eager-to-learn online training courses provide excellent, accessible educational opportunities to people who care for children. Child care providers, early childhood, and school-age professionals, parents and other caregivers are invited to network and learn, all from the comfort and convenience of home. Eager-to-learn offers two types of training methods which include Web-based, Instructor Led courses, and "Anytime Learning" courses that are Self-Paced.

Face-to-face Training is an online catalog that includes Child Care Aware professional development and training opportunities available throughout the state. Visitors can use this site to search for courses in their area, access full course descriptions and schedule information, and then register and pay for their training all online.
