Read MoreThe Emergency Medical Services Professional certificate will provide students with the skills necessary to respond to medical and trauma emergencies, and pass the core competencies exam for licensure through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. Students will gain skills in human anatomy, clear decision-making in medical emergencies, incident management, handling hazardous materials, and ensuring patient, public and personal safety. Students will earn their CPR certification. These skills will qualify EMS graduates to work as emergency room technicians, ambulance clinicians, 911 dispatchers and rescue teams, law enforcement, security services, and others. In addition, this curriculum prepares students to seamlessly transfer into the next step in their education to become a Paramedic, Community Paramedic, Medical Assistant, Advanced EMT, Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse.
Each information session includes an admissions packet, presentation, tour, time for questions, and application station. Each session is approximately one hour.
