Fees and Payment

The Net Price Calculator is a tool for students and parents to use to get an estimate of what it may cost to attend PTCC, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room and board. The information you receive from the calculator is an estimate of costs and financial aid. The estimate assumes you will be a degree-seeking undergraduate student enrolled full-time (12 or more credits) in fall and spring semesters.

Per MinnState policy, tuition is due fifteen days prior to the start of the term. For registrations after the tuition due date, payment is due within one week.

A past-due status on your student account will prevent you from registering.

You have incurred a financial obligation by registering for classes. If you decide not to attend, it is your responsibility to drop your classes. It is accessed the same way as student registration. If you decide not to attend, please do not rely on the “registration cancellation for non-payment” process as a way to drop your classes.

Student bill/invoices are not mailed. Students need to check their account balances online using eServices. The official method of communication with all students is through their official Pine Technical & Community College email account.

Refunds & Non-Payment

  • Minimum payment criteria must be met by the payment due date for each semester.
  • Students who register and later change their plans for attendance should not rely on the Registration Cancellation for Nonpayment process to complete administrative drops for them. Those who no longer wish to be enrolled must drop their courses via the online registration process and officially withdraw for accurate determination of their financial obligation to the College, if any.

Students who use Tuition Assistance (TA) are expected to remain enrolled in the course throughout the duration of the semester. If a student using TA withdraws from the course, the student may no longer be eligible for the full amount of the benefit that was originally authorized. To remain in compliance with the Department of Defense’s policy, Pine Technical and Community College will return any unearned TA funds through at least 60% of the semester on a prorated basis. The amount of unearned TA that is returned is based on the date of withdrawal from the course.

After 60% of the semester has passed, TA will not be evaluated for a return to the DOD.

As an institution, we will bill the DOD after 60% of the semester has passed to reduce the amount of incorrect TA funds being disbursed by the DOD to Pine Technical and Community College. We will only bill for the amount the students earned given their enrollment.

Refunds of tuition and fees for students who totally withdraw from courses for credit in a term will be in accordance with the following schedule:
