ASSOCIATE OF APPLIED SCIENCE, DIPLOMA

Bridge business and technology. PTCC’s Management Information Systems AAS program prepares students to improve business operations through information systems and emerging technologies. Students gain experience in business processes, data analysis, and decision-making tools used in modern organizations. Graduates are prepared for immediate employment or transfer into business or IT bachelor’s programs.

PROGRAM FACT SHEET

Students completing this AAS will be able to:

effectively use existing and emerging information systems to make and implement decisions in the business environment;
demonstrate the ability to identify and understand basic theories, principles, practices and terminology related to areas of business and information technology;
demonstrate competency in communicating effectively using oral, written, and non-verbal techniques to include the use of technology in the gathering and presentation of information;
apply ethical principles and logical reasoning to make and justify business decisions; and
analyze and interpret information, evidence, arguments, and theories, in a disciplined and evaluative manner, in order to address business and technological problems and issues logically.
