Business Transfer Pathway

ASSOCIATE OF SCIENCE, DIPLOMA, CERTIFICATE

Start your bachelor’s degree in business with a seamless transfer pathway. The Business Transfer Pathway AS builds foundational knowledge in management, accounting, economics, marketing, communication, and technology. Designed in alignment with Minnesota State universities, this program allows students to transfer as juniors into designated bachelor’s programs. Students gain the analytical and leadership skills needed for long-term success in business.

PROGRAM FACT SHEET

Students completing this AS will be able to:

demonstrate the ability to identify and understand basic theories, principles, practices and terminology related to each functional area of business;
demonstrate competency in communicating effectively using oral, written, and non-verbal techniques to include the use of technology in the gathering and presentation of information;
use computer hardware, software, the internet, cloud computing, and other technological tools to expedite and enhance communication and critical thinking skills in making business decisions;
consistently act in a professional manner and apply ethical principles and logical reasoning to make and justify business decisions; and
analyze and interpret information, evidence, arguments, and theories, in a disciplined and evaluative manner, in order to address business problems and issues logically.

Transfer

All courses in the Transfer Pathway associate degree will directly transfer and apply to the designated bachelor’s degree programs in a related field. Universities within the Minnesota State system include: Bemidji State University, Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University Mankato, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Southwest Minnesota State University, St. Cloud State University, and Winona State University.

Admissions Requirements

College ready assessment scores in reading and will need to be college ready in math scores or have equivalent preparatory coursework completed by second semester.
