Advising

STUDENT SUCCESS ADVISORS

Academic and Financial Aid advising is available to all PTCC students. Student Success Advisors offer a one-stop advising model that supports the development of academic skills and strategies, awareness of educational, personal, financial, and professional goals, connection to campus resources, and involvement in the campus community. Program Faculty Advisors provide course sequence and subject matter expertise.

Drop-In Advising – In-Person during the School Year
Monday – Friday 9:00 AM– 11:00 AM in Student Services Suite 30
Tuesdays and Thursdays 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the REC

Walk-ins are available on a limited basis. Students are strongly encouraged to make an appointment with their Student Success Advisor via Bookings. Phone, online/virtual, and in-person appointments are available.

Jen Rancour

Jen holds an Associate of Arts Degree from North Hennepin Community College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Writing from Metropolitan State University.

Jen is a dedicated educator with over 20 years of experience across various community sectors. She is passionate about helping students navigate their educational journeys and achieve their academic goals. Her specialty is working with high school students, families, and counselors. Jen helps students understand their dual credit options and serves as a primary advisor for many PSEO students.

Outside of her professional role, Jen is an active Girl Scout volunteer and is involved in children’s ministry and community health initiatives. She enjoys many outdoor activities, including kayaking, boating, and getting lost in the woods.
