If you are undecided the Strong Interest Inventory Assessments can provide a starting point for discussion about possible career options. The Strong Interest Inventory (SII) compares your interests with those of people working in a broad range of occupations. Visit the Careerwise site and take a career assessment. Gain ideas and information about occupations that interest you. Under specific occupations, you will see examples of similar occupations. This site connects you with resources in Minnesota. 

Explore careers, take an assessment, and gain much more at CareerOneStop. Take a moment to browse the page before beginning. Tons of information is available on this government-sponsored site. 

Look up an occupation by a keyword search or by Employment Projections. Find the job outlook for nearly any occupation over the next five to ten years.

Minnesota Job Bank 

Look for work at the Minnesota Job Bank. Although not all jobs are posted here, this is an excellent place to start.

Minnesota WorkForce Centers (WFCs) provide the tools, resources and services needed for job searching, career planning and training needs.

Job Seekers’ Resources at Minnesota WorkForce Centers are excellent online resources for job seekers including tips on resume writing and more job banks.

Visit the Minnesota Salary Survey and get information regarding wages and salaries for certain jobs in the state.

There are many nationwide online job databases where you can search for specific jobs and apply online.
