English Emphasis

ASSOCIATE OF ARTS

The English AA Emphasis offers students the opportunity to earn their Associate of Arts (AA) with an English emphasis. The program is designed so students can complete the degree in four semesters with sixty credits that are transferable to any of the seven universities within the Minnesota State system, which include Bemidji State University; Metropolitan State University; Minnesota State University, Mankato; Minnesota State University Moorhead; Southwest Minnesota State University; St. Cloud State University; and Winona State University.

Transferability

Student completing this certificate will be prepared to pursue a bachelor’s degree in English or a related field at the junior-year status. Some of the fields of concentrations at a four-year university include creative writing, literature, technical communication, composition and rhetoric, journalism, and English Education.
