Congratulations on being accepted to Pine Technical and Community College (PTCC)! Starting your journey at PTCC is an exciting step toward achieving your academic and career goals. Our New Student Orientation is designed to help you transition smoothly by providing essential information, resources, and connections before your first semester begins.
When is Orientation?
New Student Program Orientations are usually held one month before the start of your first semester at PTCC. By this time, you should be registered for your courses. If you still need to complete your registration, reach out to the Admissions Office.
What to Expect
Program Orientations:
• Meet Your Faculty: Connect with instructors, understand course expectations, and get answers to your questions.
• Learn About Requirements: Get details on required textbooks, tools, supplies, uniforms, and other essential items for your program.
Drop-in Activities:
• Meet with Your Student Success Advisor: Get guidance on course selection, degree planning, and any questions about your academic journey.
• The REC: Explore our Student Recreation Center (The REC), complete the required orientation for new students, and learn how to stay active on campus.
• Access Essential Technology: Log in to your student email, D2L (online learning platform), and other critical digital resources.
• Discover Campus Resources: Learn about tutoring, counseling, career services, and other support services designed to help you succeed.
• Get Your Student ID: Order or pick up your student ID card for access to campus facilities and events.
• Finalize Financial Aid or Payment Plans: Ensure your financial aid is in place or set up a payment plan before classes begin.
