The PTCC Summer Academy is a three-day summer enrichment program for students entering grades 9-12 in fall 2023. The Academy will provide students with an in-depth and hands-on approach to explore future career options through project-based learning.

Academy Cost: The total cost of registration is $125. Registration includes an Academy t-shirt, light breakfast, and lunch each day. Scholarships are available for students eligible for free and reduced lunch program.
Explore and express your creativity in multiple areas of art, including drawing, painting, and sculpture! You will develop artistic skills utilizing a variety of media and approaches in a fun, small group setting.
From trees to lumber, to designing and building – you will participate in all aspects of the construction process from milling lumber to designing and building a chicken coop. You will gain hands-on, industry skills in carpentry, design, and blueprint reading.
Dream It – Design It – Build it – Use it! In this academy, you will work with others to design and build outdoor camping, fishing, and cooking gear! The academy will conclude with a 4-6 hour canoe trip on the St. Croix River where you will field test your custom-built equipment to cook and have a shore lunch.
*An extended day on June 29 will be planned to accommodate the canoe trip.
