Resources to support your childcare needs as a student and parent: You don’t need to navigate this alone. Follow the links to find helpful information, brochures, and materials about child care assistance programs, help paying for child care and help finding quality care.

Post Secondary Child Care Grant is a grant through the MN Office of Higher Ed that provides child care funds to MN residents, funds are limited students are encourage to apply early. 

Child Care Aware is a network of organizations from across the state dedicated to assisting families, early childhood professionals and the community with child care information, grants, services, and training.

Pine Children’s Early Learning Center is a child care center located on the PTCC campus (Watch for location change in Fall 2024), it is available to the public and especially convenient for PTCC students and staff Call 320.629.5147 for more information. 

Help me Connect is an interagency collaboration between Minnesota’s Department of Education, Health and Human Services.  

Student Parent Support Initiative: Minnesota’s Student Parent Support Initiative (SPSI) provides much-needed support to entities and institutions to assist college-age pregnant and parenting students in successfully completing secondary education.

Parent Aware: Free tools and resources for families and child care programs—search for childcare programs near you, find help paying for care, and helpful guides to find the right place for your child.

Bridge to Benefits: Bridge to Benefits is a project that improves the well-being of families and individuals by linking them to public work support programs and tax credits; by answering a few simple questions, you will be able to see if you or someone else may be eligible for public work support programs.

Get Help Paying for Child Care: Learn about resources that can help you pay for child care; learn how to find quality child care; learn how to guide and support your child’s growth and development; learn what it means for a child care program to be licensed and why it is important to keeping children safe.
