DIPLOMA, CERTIFICATE

Expand career opportunities by earning the Business Administration diploma offered through Pine Technical and Community College. The curriculum develops strong general business acumen. Acquired skills can be leveraged to grow workplace opportunities within an existing organization or through entrepreneurial pursuits. In addition to expanding career opportunities, the diploma seamlessly transfers into PTCC’s Management Information Systems diploma, Management Information Systems AAS, and the Business Transfer Pathway AS program.

 

PROGRAM FACT SHEET

Students completing this AS will be able to:

  1. demonstrate the ability to identify and understand basic theories, principles, practices and terminology related to each functional area of business.
  2. demonstrate competency in communicating effectively using oral, written, and non-verbal techniques to include the use of technology in the gathering and presentation of information.
  3. use computer hardware, software, the internet, cloud computing, and other technological tools to expedite and enhance communication and critical thinking skills in making business decisions.
  4. consistently act in a professional manner and apply ethical principles and logical reasoning to make and justify business decisions.

College ready assessment scores are required for BUSN courses. College ready requirements are necessary for enrollment into College Composition which is required to complete the certificate.
