Business Transfer Pathway

The Business Transfer Pathway AS offers students a powerful option: the opportunity to complete an Associate of Science degree with course credits that directly transfer to designated Business bachelor’s degree programs at Minnesota State universities. The curriculum has been specifically designed so that students completing this pathway degree and transferring to one of the seven Minnesota State universities enter the university with junior-year status.  All courses in the Transfer Pathway associate degree will directly transfer and apply to the designated bachelor’s degree programs in a related field.  Universities within the Minnesota State system include Bemidji State University; Metropolitan State University; Minnesota State University, Mankato; Minnesota State University Moorhead; Southwest Minnesota State University; St. Cloud State University; and Winona State University.

PROGRAM FACT SHEET

Students completing this AS will be able to:

demonstrate the ability to identify and understand basic theories, principles, practices and terminology related to each functional area of business.
analyze and interpret information, evidence, arguments, and theories, in a disciplined and evaluative manner, in order to address business problems and issues logically.
demonstrate competency in communicating effectively using oral, written, and non-verbal techniques to include the use of technology in the gathering and presentation of information.
use computer hardware, software, the internet, cloud computing, and other technological tools to expedite and enhance communication and critical thinking skills in making business decisions.
consistently act in a professional manner and apply ethical principles and logical reasoning to make and justify business decisions.

Admissions Requirements

College ready assessment scores in reading and will need to be college ready in math scores or have equivalent preparatory coursework completed by second semester.
