Get Ready for College Success!

Orientation is more than a checklist — it’s your opportunity to get connected, feel confident, and hit the ground running at Pine Technical & Community College. Each program orientation is composed of 4 components.

Drop-In Activities

Come and go during this time to take care of important tasks and explore campus.

• Meet your Student Success Advisor (mandatory)
• Tour The REC
• Connect to campus technology
• Order your textbooks and pick up your Student ID
• Finalize your fall registration
• Check your financial aid or payment plan

Welcome Session

Kick things off with an official PTCC welcome!

• Hear from college leadership
• Learn what it means to be a PTCC student

Program Orientation

This is where you’ll dive into the details of your specific academic program.

• Review required tools, supplies, and program expectations
• Learn about attendance policies, grading, and how to succeed in your field

Get the tools you need to manage your time, stay motivated, and keep everything balanced.

• Get tips for balancing school, work, and life

Before You Attend

Please complete the PTCC Vibe Check in your Ready, Set, Go: New Student Onboarding Course located in D2L. To access the course:

1. Login to D2L.
2. Open the “Fall 2025 Ready, Set, Go” course — you’ll find it in the right-hand toolbar under “My Courses.”
3. Review all course content.
4. Click on the Assessment menu, select Surveys, and complete the PTCC Vibe Check survey.
